About Benjamin Perlin

To give back to the community, Benjamin Perlin has donated his time to a number of organizations, including Habitat for Humanity, Tennessee State Veterans’ Homes, and Second Harvest Food Bank. Benjamin Perlin currently works at the Habitat for Humanity ReStore in Nashville. This store sells donated building materials, furniture, and appliances at affordable prices to help families in difficult situations. At the store, he receives and organizes donations and then helps customers find exactly what they need. His store has sold a number of unique items, such as airplane windows that were installed in a local recording studio.

Outside of work, Benjamin Perlin is a dedicated photographer who constantly looks at the world in terms of framing shots that tell an engaging story. He prefers to work with film and frequently uses a 1955 Zeiss Ikon Contessa that he purchased at a bookseller stand.

Recreationally, Mr. Perlin enjoys sailing and traveling. Some of his favorite destinations include Tokyo, London, and Amsterdam. Additionally, he studies karate and is currently a black belt candidate.
